A plant nursery and landscaping is their passion

After five years of injury, Mr Oupa Baloi the owner of OJB Plant Supply, bounced back to do what he loves most, landscaping.

Mr Baloi, an elderly entrepreneur from Klipgat, Madibeng Local Municipality, is a highly skilled landscaper. He started honing his passion when he was still in school and now owns a nursery operating from his home.

He gained experience on how to grow trees and plants by using the wild trees from the indigenous forest and now uses seeds to plant his plants. He uses the plants that he grows from his nursery for landscaping and makes his own compost by collecting animal waste such as cow dung in the village.

In the nursery, he has different plants such as aloe (crypto poda, forex, chabaudii), snake plant, maloti, pachypodium namaquanum and more. Due to a lack of labour, Mr Baloyi works with his wife and his son who does the landscaping designs for him.

His dream is to expand his business by owning big trucks that will enable him to transport big trees from other provinces to his nursery. He is targeting business owners, other nurseries and homeowners.
