Initially studying journalism, Kgomotso’s career path took an unexpected turn when she was introduced to photography by her fiancé, who gifted her a camera and a soft light. Her first photoshoot took place in Wolmaranstad for a birthday party, followed by a wedding in Mpumalanga, marking the beginning of her photographic journey.

Today, Kgomotso operates a small studio in Khuma, where she offers a wide range of photography services including weddings, events, unveilings, graduations, school photos, photo certificates, photo puzzles, birthdays, maternity and birth shoots, and photobook albums. Her creative eye and dedication have earned her a loyal clientele and a reputation for capturing memorable moments with precision and artistry.

Kgomotso’s short-term goal is to establish a fully-equipped professional photography studio and provide her clients with an even higher quality of service. Her long-term aspirations include expanding her skills portfolio to encompass videography, podcasting, and writing articles for an online magazine. With her futuristic mindset, Kgomotso has already invested in a small drone, which she uses to capture stunning aerial shots at events, weddings, and marathons.

Despite the occasional setbacks, such as equipment malfunctions and electricity issues, Kgomotso remains undeterred. Her philosophy of “when you feel fear, do it anyway” drives her to overcome obstacles and continue pursuing her dreams. This resilience and determination have been key factors in her success.

Kgomotso is committed to staying current with the latest trends and techniques in the photography industry. She continuously educates herself through the “University of YouTube,” ensuring her work remains innovative and cutting-edge.
