Where Every Event is a Treat
Slush & Scoop, a proudly North West Company based in Phokeng outside of Rustenburg, brings together food, entertainment and event services to create a complete experience for a range of occasions.
Founded by Tsholofelo Makhutle, the philosophy of Slush & Scoop is simple: ”Don’t just serve refreshments—create moments people remember “
Together with co-owner Elizabeth Modiba, they curate memorable food and beverage stations, event rentals, hospitality setups and children’s entertainment, allowing clients to coordinate several elements of an event through one service provider. Its offerings can be adapted to the space, audience, theme and budget of each event, whether it is a corporate function, private celebration, family day, product launch or public activation.
Food and beverage services form an important part of the Slush & Scoop offering. Clients can choose from slush stations, smoothie bars, dirty sodas, popcorn, soft-serve, gelato and popsicles, as well as smash burgers, boerewors rolls, cakes and other sweet and savoury catering options. These services can be incorporated into different event formats, from private celebrations and family gatherings to corporate functions and public events.
Slush & Scoop also provides equipment and event rentals to help create the setting for an occasion. Its range includes carts, counters, treat stations, event furniture, décor features, machines and branded activation elements. For organisations and agencies hosting product launches, exhibitions, conferences or promotional events, these elements can be combined with food and beverage services to create an environment that encourages guests to participate.
Children’s entertainment is another part of the Slush & Scoop offering. The business provides jumping castles, water slides, bubble houses, obstacle courses, ball pits, bumper cars, interactive games and foam activities. These services are designed for family-friendly corporate functions, community gatherings, school events and private celebrations, giving children activities to enjoy while creating a more inclusive experience for families attending an event.
Slush & Scoop also develops experiential activations that turn food and entertainment into interactive activities. Guests can pour, swirl, top and flavour their own treats, while branded cups, campaign flavours, counters, carts, staff presentation, décor and photo opportunities can be incorporated into the activation. These services are suited to exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, festivals, shopping-centre activations and sporting events where audience participation forms part of the event.
The company manages the delivery of its children’s entertainment services from installation through to breakdown. Its structures are cleaned, inspected and securely anchored as part of the setup process. By bringing together catering, event rentals, hospitality and entertainment, Slush & Scoop provides clients with a coordinated approach to organising events and activations.
Owner and founder, Tsholofelo Makhutle is passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation and building a business that creates opportunities for others. Her vision is to grow Slush & Scoop into a recognised South African experiential company that partners with brands, corporates, event agencies and communities to create memorable consumer experiences.
