On Saturday, 29 October 2022, NWDC sponsored and participated in the 4th Annual Cancer Awareness Campaign held at the Christiana All Seasons Resort (CASR).

The aim of the day, including various activities in the week leading up to the main event, was to raise awareness of all types of cancers, and drive home the message that early detection is the key to survival.

The day started with a ten-kilometre fun walk in the serene game reserve on the grounds of the Christiana All Seasons Resort. This was followed by activities at the pool area of the resort which included aerobics and health screening offered by the Department of Health.

On Saturday evening, the resort hosted a gala dinner, dedicated to the topic of cancer awareness.

Key speakers included medical doctor, Dr Masala and local cancer survivor Joan Labuschagne, who shared educational and inspirational messages.

Thanks to the proceeds of the gala dinner, the Christiana All Seasons Resort was able to donate R 2 500.00 to the Pink Drive NPO.

The CASR Cancer Awareness Campaign would not have been possible without the generous contributions of sponsors.
