PROTEA HOTEL, Mahikeng – 26 June 2025

The North West Development Corporation hosted an MSME Training and Information Sharing Workshop at the Protea Hotel in Mahikeng.

The workshop empowered small business owners with advice and information. Topics included business plan preparation, export and investment services and small business support services offered by both the NWDC and DEDECT.

The workshop also included a question-and-answer session with key institutions offering funding and support. The valuable Q&A session allowed participants to gain hands-on and practical funding information from participating institutions such as SEDA, NYDA, CIPC, NEF, Standard Bank, and the National Consumer Commission.

In addressing the business owners, Acting Small Business Development Executive for NWDC, Ms Sam Mudramuthoo remarked: “We believe that innovation, creativity and entrepreneurial excellence do not belong only in big cities. They belong in villages, in townships, in small towns – where dreams are just as bold and the hustle is just as strong.”
