The NWDC is the implementing agency for the project sponsor – The North West Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation and Tourism (DEDECT).
DEDECT has stipulated that the establishment of a warehouse/general dealer intervention is to be implemented.
The current rounds of applications are now open in the Mamusa LM (Schweizer-Reneke), Dr KK LM (Ventersdorp) and in the Moses Kotane LM (Mabeskraal).
Support will be given to either an existing general dealer who will qualify as per the requirements or to a small informal trader who is willing to convert the small operation into a general dealer.
The selected general dealer must be willing to sell to the informal traders in the area at reasonable prices that will afford the informal traders a chance to make higher profits.
Existing informal traders in the relevant municipalities that meet the qualifying criteria listed below are encouraged to apply before the closing dates stipulated on the advert images.

Informal Traders who own tuck shops, hair salons, bakeries, butcheries/chesa-nyama and car washes are invited to apply to become beneficiaries for a business upgrade or container.
