Alongside the National Department for Small Business and Cooperatives and the provincial FEED, NWDC is in Taung on 3 and 4 July for the International Cooperatives Celebrations.
At the crack of dawn on Friday, 3 July 2015 Small Business Minister Lindiwe Zulu cut the ribbon to formally open the two day celebrations and exhibition.
International Cooperatives Day was proclaimed by the United Nations in 1994 to be celebrated on the first Saturday of July each year.
The theme for this year’s celebrations, held in the North West Province town of Taung is “Choose Co-operatives, Choose Equality”
