The North West Development Corporation participated in the Business Support and Regulatory Seminar for small businesses held at the Rustenburg Civic Centre on 28 and 29 October 2021.
The event was hosted by the Premier of the North West Province, Mr Bushy Maape, and the MEC for Economic Development, Environment, Conservation, and Tourism (DEDECT), Ms Kenetswe Mosenogi, together with Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) and Business Regulatory Bodies.
Various business units within the NWDC participated in the event with staff attending and the NWDC exhibiting its services.
The NWDC team was led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tshepo Phetla (featured in the photograph).
Mr Phetla attended the seminar on the first day in support of NWDC stakeholders and the NWDC team attending and exhibiting. NWDC was well-represented by the Office of the CEO, Marketing & Communications, SBD and Trade & Investment Units. Mr Elliot Moncho, Manager in the Office of the CEO presided as the Programme Director on Day 2, while Mr Welane Wanzi from the Small Business Development (SBD) division, presented on NWDC’s service offering to small businesses.
The NWDC received a vast number of enquiries from small business owners at its exhibition stands, ranging from business registration matters to funding facilitation and access to market assistance. All enquiries received are being responded to by the SBD unit.
