This Youth Month, NWDC and SABC 3 Soapie Isidingo are offering an exclusive hands-on training on the Isidingo set during their up-coming shoot in the North West Province.

Selected trainees will be able to observe and learn while the behind-the-scenes preparation and the shooting itself is taking place.

The training will take the format of non-paid, job shadowing, providing exposure opportunities to seven different disciplines within the television production environment.

Together with our partners, we have identified seven training disciplines:

1. Location scouting
2. Technical operator for camera and lighting
3. Sound mixing
4. Make-up and Hair
5. The Art Department – set dressing, props management etc.
6. Production itself and;
7. Wardrobe , for those with an interest in costume design, fashion & styling

Entry requirements:

• South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 35
• Valid Matric Certificate
• A passion for television and film production
• Must be a resident of the North West Province
