Thus explains Onkabetse Nnuku Mtsiong, owner of Onka Collections.

Her business is based in Ganyesa, North West, and focuses on producing locally-made oil-based perfumes that are crafted with love and care.

She also offers re-seller opportunities for entrepreneurs who wish to become distributors.

“Our perfumes last longer, and the aim is not just to provide quality products, but to empower women and youth to become independent and pursue their dreams. We cater to a range of customers, from young to old, who appreciate looking and feeling good – because how you feel reflects who you are.”

While the journey hasn’t been without challenges, such as obtaining SABS approval, securing funding, and gaining market exposure, Onkebetse is doing her best with the resources she has.

In September 2024, she was selected to showcase her products at the PRO BEAUTY SOUTH AFRICA EXPO 2024, which was held in Midrand, Gauteng.

“I continue to reach out to relevant role players for assistance, and I keep a positive mindset, trusting that God will provide for my needs and bring the right people into my path to help me grow.”
