VV Chemicals in Lichtenburg, Ditsobotla, is your one-stop shop for all your cleaning needs.

Manufactured on-site with a fast turnaround time, they sell all household and corporate cleaning detergents in bulk, including dishwashing liquid, bleach, fabric softener, ammoniated cream, tile cleaner, foam bath, drain cleaner,descalers, and the like. They also sell cleaning utensils such as mops and brooms.

VV Chemicals sells directly to the public from its retail outlet in Thabo Mbeki street in the Lichtenburg CBD but also delivers to schools, corporations, and government departments that order from them.

The business idea was born in July 2020 when owner Vusimosi Vilakazi became aware of the great need in the market for hygiene and proper disinfectants at affordable prices amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

They officially started operating in 2021, and since then, the business has grown to such an extent that Vusi would like to expand by opening more branches across the province. He also wishes to become the owner of his own premises with a borehole from which the cleaning chemicals can be manufactured on a larger scale. In the future, Vusi would also like to purchase the specialised equipment needed to manufacture washing powder so that he may add that product to his range.

Vusi currently employs two full-time employees, with cashier Paulina Motsamai being his right hand, and three more part-time employees.

Supported by their fast turnaround time of three to four days to deliver orders, Vusi believes that VV Chemicals’ focus on customer service sets it apart. “If a client arrives at the shop and a product is out of stock, we will go to the back and mix it for them, instead of asking them to come back another day,” he says.

Service to their clients is the motto that VV Chemicals live by.
