IKAGENG STADIUM, POTCHEFSTROOM – 20 OCTOBER 2023.

NWDC participated alongside provincial government departments and entities at the Ikageng Stadium in Potchefstroom, attending the Second Round of the District Development Model (DDM) Presidential Imbizo held on Friday, 20 October 2023.

The day was held under the theme: “Leave no one behind”.

NWDC’s Marketing and Small Business Development units rendered business services and shared information with the community.

The programme commenced in the morning with President Ramaphosa and delegates visiting the project site of the Potchefstroom Water Reservoir at Ikageng, Extension 7.

After a meet and greet with traditional leaders, the proceedings commenced at the Ikageng Stadium. Here the community was given the opportunity to engage with government, followed by government responses and the President’s remarks, based on the issues the community had raised.

Service exhibitions by the NWDC alongside government departments were accessible for the entire duration of the imbizo at the stadium.

SBD Executive Manager Ms Nokuthula Phamodi was interviewed by GCIS on NWDC’s services and mandate.

Clients who benefitted from a consultation at the NWDC stand were provided with the opportunity to rate the NWDC in it’s current customer feedback survey.
