ZEERUST – 21 November 2024.
The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), in partnership with the Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality, hosted an interactive business seminar at the Zeerust Town hall.
The North West Development Corporation participated in the event, and offered small business services on site.
The seminar empowered business people in the small and medium business sector and other members of the community interested in business.
Officials from various government departments and their agencies, including the NWDC, shared information with business people on how they can start or grow their businesses to contribute to creating job opportunities in the community and eradicating poverty.
The Mayor of the Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality, Councillor Dina Pitso delivered the keynote address at the seminar.

The South African government recognizes the role contribution and role of small businesses in creating jobs, alleviating poverty, and growing the economy of the country. To this end, the development of the township and rural economy has been identified by the government as a critical component of South Africa’s economic recovery and growth initiatives.
