Members of the media in the North West Province are called upon to re-ignite their passion, to deliver outstanding journalism, reporting, broadcasting, programming, photography and more.
The 2021 North West Media Awards season was officially declared open on Friday, 28 May 2021 at this year’s launch function held at the Rustenburg Golf Club.
Exceptionally hosted by comedian Jonez Blaq Gzus, the launch kicked-off the evaluation season for North West-based members of the media and media houses, and announced the myriad of available categories.
The North West Media Awards are led by veteran journalist and digital media entrepreneur Ananias Ndlovu from Quick Acts, supported by the Bojanala Press Club and a selected team of evaluators. NWDC’s Marketing & Communications Manager and Communication Specialist were also in attendance, showing support for this prestigious initiative to grow and support local media.
Categories in which persons from the media, and even provincial communicators are invited to compete in 2021 include:
In the coming months leading up to the awards function in December 2021, the Media Awards team will, as they put it, unapologetically go knocking on the doors of corporates and businesses in the province to obtain as many prize sponsors as possible.
Are you a North West or national business? Please consider a prize or product or service sponsorship for a well-deserving journalist to keep independent media alive whilst building your brand.
