Ms Alicia Tjale has been appointed as the Chairperson of the NWDC Board of Directors effective 31 July 2019.

The appointment is for the current board’s term of office ending 30 June 2020.

In January 2019 Ms Tjale was appointed as a Non-Executive Director and as the Chairperson of the Audit and Risk Committee.

Ms Tjale is a Chartered Accountant and a member of SAICA and the IRBA.

She holds B Comm and B Comm Honours (CTA) degrees from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Ms Tjale brings with her a wealth of experience in the fields of auditing, financial management, financial accounting and taxation. Her former employers include, among other, Magalies Water, SAAB Grintek and the Auditor General.

Ms Tjale resides in Rustenburg, in the North West Province.
