Please be advised that there is a scam involving Alexander Forbes.

A person claiming to work for Alexander Forbes is sms-ing or phoning people to tell them that they’ve won a cash prize from Alexander Forbes.

The person uses the name Daniel Williams and says he’s from Forbes International – a division of Alexander Forbes. In the sms he tells people they have won R500 000 and that they should call 081 446 5052 and quote the reference number he supplies to claim their prize.

When people phone the number the fraudster asks them for their personal details.

We would like to warn our clients not to provide any personal details if they are contacted by anybody claiming that they’ve won a prize sponsored by Alexander Forbes, or any division of the company.
