The Acting CEO Mr Itumeleng Ditlhoiso
The North West Development Corporations’ (NWDC) Board has at its recent sitting resolved to appoint Mr Itumeleng Ditlhoiso as the Acting Chief Executive for the corporation effective immediately. He has since been introduced at the staff meeting addressed by the Chairperson (Mr. Bheki Khumalo) and the Deputy Chairperson (Ms. K Mosenogi).
Mr Ditlhoiso brings with him a wealth of experience he has amassed, stretching over a long period of time. He has worked for among other institutions, the NWDC itself, the Entrepreneurial Support Centre as well as the Mafikeng Industrial Development Zone where he has in all of the above-named institutions occupied senior managerial positions.
As Mr Ditlhoiso assumes this position of leadership to steer the NWDC in the realization of its vision, to be “an efficient and effective economic development agency of the North West”. He obtains inspiration from the following words of an American civil rights activist and Baptist minister, Jesse Jackson:
“Leaders must be tough enough to fight,
tender enough to cry,
human enough to make mistakes,
humble enough to admit them,
strong enough to absorb the pain,
and resilient enough to bounce back and keep on moving”
The NWDC hails the splendid work, and the solid foundation laid by Mr Mike Mthimunye whilst under his watch. Indeed he has provided the Corporation with a leadership of towering proportions, a landmark we are all bound not to forget.
