PRETORIA – 18 &19 March 2025 – The Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) is hosting a second workshop on the development of standardised indicators following cabinet’s endorsement of the Medium-Term Strategic Framework (MTDP) on February 7, 2025.
NWDC is in attendance and has sent delegates from its Small Business Development and Monitoring and Evaluation divisions. The North West provincial government is further represented by staff members from IEDS and the Economic Planning Department of DEDECT.
This workshop is being held in Centurion, Pretoria from 18 to 19 March 2025. It builds upon the initial workshop held in December 2024, which resulted in a draft Theory of Change (ToC). The primary objective of the second workshop is to enhance and finalize the ToC and develop a measurement framework.
The expected key outcomes from this workshop include:
• One impact statement for the 2025 -29 planning period.
• A set of outcomes aligned to the impact statement.
• Develop outputs to contribute towards the set of outcomes.
• Develop outputs according to the approved budget programme structure.
• Output indicators for each output and Technical Indicator Descriptions.
The two-day programme covers various topics, including the National Integrated Small Enterprise Development (NISED) Masterplan and a presentation on the endorsed 2024-2029 Medium-Term Development Plan (MTDP).
